Police Looking For Robbers Who Shot Seminary Student

HONEA PATH, S.C. -- Police were still looking for two suspects Wednesday afternoon in the shooting of an Erskine College seminary student who was working as a clerk at an Anderson County convenience store.Police said that after two men came into the Stop-A-Minute store on Highway 252 in Honea Path about 10:30 Tuesday night, several shots were fired."They entered the store, fired a shot, then took physical control of the clerk and demanded the money," Honea Path Police Chief David King told WYFF News 4's Kisha Foster. "The clerk complied with their demands, got a sum of money from the store. Prior to leaving, (they) fired one more round, striking the store clerk."
One shot hit the 27-year-old clerk in the leg.The man was rushed to AnMed health in Anderson, but was released Wednesday after being treated.Police said that they have surveillance video to help in their search for the two robbers, who were wearing white shirts and plaid shorts and had camouflage bandanas covering their faces."It was a very violent exchange," King said. "They came in very controlling, very violent. It appears to me this may have been done before.
