HARTWELL, Ga. -- A Hartwell, Ga., man was arrested Tuesday and charged with shooting and killing a man with a shotgun, investigators said.

Brandon Gaines, 23, is charged with murder and aggravated assault, Hart County Mike Cleveland said in a news release.

Cleveland said that deputies arrived at a home on Reba Drive in the Nancy Hart community early Monday morning and found Gabriel Brown, 32, who had been shot twice.

Brown was taken to Anmed Health, where he died.

Investigators from the Hart County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified Gaines as the suspect.
