Upstate Plant To Expand, Add 200 Jobs

POSTED: 10:57 am EST November 19, 2008

A Fountain Inn plant will expand and is expected to add at least 200 jobs over the next five years.

W.W. Grainger Inc., a maintenance product supplier, currently has about 330 employees at the Fountain Inn warehouse.

Operations regional director Marty Van Kanegan said that the company will make changes to its 1 million-square-foot center so it can handle more products.

Grainger expects to spend about $27 million on the expansion.

The company is based in Lake Forest, Ill.
