Kim joined the WYFF 4 news team in August, 2007.. sitting alongside Gordon Dill each weekday morning on WYFF News 4 Today. Prior to moving to Greenville, Kim worked at WPMI, the NBC station in Mobile, AL / Pensacola, FL, where she spent five years as an Anchor/Reporter. During Kim's time on the Gulf Coast, she covered some of the most destructive hurricanes in recent history...Ivan, Katrina, and Dennis. Kim remembers, "It seemed to become routine after a while. We would spend *days* at the T.V. station, reporting nonstop on the preparation and anticipation of the storms, the devastating landfalls, and heart wrenching clean-up". While in Pensacola, Kim also experienced something she will never forget...flying with the Blue Angels. "Those pilots are amazing.. Navy's elite as they say.. .I am honored to have been able to fly with them!"
Before making the trek to the Gulf Coast, Kim spent more than five years at WWCP, the FOX affiliate in Johnstown / Altoona, PA as an anchor and reporter. While with that station, she received numerous awards and honors for health stories she covered. Other TV stops for Kim include KTVT in Dallas / Ft. Worth where she worked as a producer, KXAS, also in the DFW area, as a production assistant and the NBC station in Meridian, MS as an anchor/reporter. Kim graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Radio, Television, and Film. When she's not reporting -- you'll likely find Kim at the horse stables. "I've been riding since I was about 6 years old.. and cannot think of any better way to spend my time off". Her other hobbies and passions include anything in the outdoors, including skiing, running and gardening.Send e-mail to Kim McCrea
