Sharon Johnson
Sharon Johnson was born in New York and raised in North Carolina. She attended Ayden-Grifton High School in Eastern North Carolina.Sharon holds both an undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University and a Masters Degree from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She joined WYFF News 4 in 1999.Sharon is apparently fond of green cities. She began her on-air career first as a reporter, then as an Anchor/Reporter in Greenville, N.C. Next, Sharon worked as an Anchor/Reporter in Greensboro, N.C. before heading to Greenville.
She currently reports daily and anchors the WYFF News 4 noon newscast.One of Sharon's proudest moments was representing WYFF News 4 as a Torch Bearer for the 2002 Winter Olympics.Sharon is a member of both the National Association of Black Journalists and the Radio and Television News Directors Association. She attends Bethlehem Baptist Church in Simpsonville and is an active member of her Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.Sharon and husband Douglas live in Simpsonville with their son Faron and daughter Ramsey.
