Kisha Foster

Kisha Foster was born in Macon, Ga., the second of five children.

After graduating from Central High School, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Georgia College in Milledgeville.

Kisha began her career in broadcasting as an overnight anchor at FOX-24 in Macon while still in college.

After graduation she moved first to Savannah as a Anchor/Reporter for WTOC and then on to WRDW in Augusta as Anchor/Reporter before joining WYFF News 4.

Kisha says that she got into the business because she loves to meet people and tell great stories. She says "every day I learn something new and interesting. This job is truly a door to the world." Kisha's love for journalism really shows in her work and she has been nominated for an Emmy in the category of general assignment reporting.

One of Kisha's career highlights came in June 2006 when she reported live on MSNBC's Rita Cosby Live and Direct and Scarborough Country about the death of Clemson University student Tiffany Souers..a local story that garnerd national attention.

In December 2005 Kisha served as Grand Marshall for the Anderson Christmas Parade. She is a proud member of Strait Christian Church of Anderson, the National Association of Black Journalists and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she volunteers in community activities as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Kisha is a member of the Best and Brightest class of 2008. Every year, Greenville Magazine honors 25 men and women under the age of 35 as growing leaders in the Greenville community. They are men and women who have proven themselves successful in business as well as impassioned by the needs of the Upstate community.

A self-taught calligrapher, Kisha also enjoys reading and writing. Her favorite pastime, however, is spending time with her nieces and nephew Daryn, Skylar, and Shelby as well as her dog Simone.
